Iphthime (daughter of Icarius)
Iphthime ( Greek Ἰφθίμη ) is a person from Greek mythology .
In Homer's Odyssey , she is the daughter of Icarius and the sister of Penelope . She is the wife of Eumelus , king of Pherai in Thessaly . The goddess Athena created a figure resembling Iphtime and made this dream image of Penelope slumbering in grief for her husband Odysseus and her son Telemachus appear to comfort them .
