Irén Sütő

Irén Sütő [ ˈireːn ˈʃytøː ] (born May 16, 1926 in Pesterzsébet , † September 20, 1991 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian actress .

Life and accomplishments

Before starting her film career, Irén Sütő worked as a theater actress in her home country. In the mid-1950s she had her first film role in Viktor Gertler's crime film The Judith B. Case as Bea Gerlóczy at Violetta Ferrari's side . In the following years she worked several times with the director Zoltán Fábri .

In 1971 she played as Dona Lucia in the German-Soviet coproduction Goya - or The Arge Path of Knowledge , directed by Konrad Wolf .
