Irakli Assashvili ( Georgian ირაკლი ასაშვილი , English spelling Irakli Asashvili ) is a Georgian diplomat .

Career

Assashvili has held leading positions in the Georgian Foreign Ministry since 1999. From 15 October 2012 to September 2017 he was Consul General of Georgia in Turkey's Istanbul .

2018 sparked Asashvili Zurab Aleksidse , the former Georgian Ambassador in Indonesia from. Assashvili handed over his accreditation for Indonesia on April 4th. On May 15, Assashvili also handed his accreditation over to the Secretary General of ASEAN and on June 21 to East Timor's President Francisco Guterres . Assashvili is also responsible for Singapore and the Philippines .
