Irakli Moissejewitsch Toidze

Irakli Moissejewitsch Toidze ( Russian Ираклий Моисеевич Тоидзе ; born March 27, 1902 in Tbilisi , † 1985 in Moscow ) was a Georgian painter and graphic artist.

Irakli Toidze was a son of the Georgian artist Mose Toidze . In 1930 he finished his training at the Art Academy in Tbilisi. During the Second World War he created a number of propaganda posters. The poster Mother Calling Home is particularly well known ! . He also appeared frequently as a book illustrator.
