Iranian Taboo is an Iranian documentary directed by Reza Allamehzadeh about the persecution of the Baha'i in Iran. The film was released in 2011 and screened at the Dawn Breakers International Film Festival and the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2012 .

Because of the persecution of their Baha'i faith by the Iranian regime , Nadereh and her fourteen-year-old daughter decide to sell all of their belongings and leave their home in Isfahan to take refuge in the west . The film leads through Turkey , Israel and the United States and gives insights into the underground Baha'i University, lets Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi , oppressed Baha'i farmers in the Iranian province of Māzandarān and the first post-revolution president, Abolhassan Banisadr , have their say come.
