Irena Belohorská

Irena Belohorská (born March 13, 1948 in Piešťany ) is a Slovak doctor and politician of the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia .

Life

Belohorská studied medicine and worked as a doctor after completing her studies. For a short time she was the successor to Viliam Soboňa Minister of Health in the Vladimir Mečiar II government . Belohorská was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009 . There she was a member of the Conference of Presidents, the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety , the Subcommittee on Human Rights and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America.
