Irene Enderli

Irene Enderli (* 1943 ) is a Swiss politician (formerly SVP , today non-party). She is the former mayor of Affoltern am Albis .

biography

After finishing secondary school, Irene Enderli completed a bank apprenticeship at Zürcher Kantonalbank . In 1976 she joined the Swiss People's Party. Among other things, she was a member of the board of SVP Women Switzerland , member of the Commission for Education and Culture of SVP Switzerland and member of the central board of SVP Switzerland.

From 1992 to 1998 she was a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council . From 1994 she was a member of the Education Council. Since 1998 she has been the mayor of Affoltern am Albis. She has also been a member of the Management Committee and Vice-President of the Association of Mayors of the Canton of Zurich since 1998.

On June 7, 2007, Irene Enderli resigned from the SVP on the grounds that she had been struggling for a long time how the party dealt with those who thought differently and with its own representatives of the authorities. Since then she has been independent.
