Irene Stelling (born July 25, 1971 ) is a former Danish soccer player .

Career

Stelling played during her club career mainly at Hjortshøj-Egaa Idrætsforening , a club from Aarhus . She was also active for Frigg Næstved (1990), the University of Hartford (Connecticut, 1994–1995) and the Frederiksberg Boldklub (1997–1998). On September 12, 1990, Stelling came in a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands for their first appearance for the Danish national team . In 1991 the midfielder and attacker took part in the World Cup, where she made three appearances. Stelling played on March 21, 1998 in the 1: 4 defeat against Norway, their 63rd and last international match; In total, she scored two goals in the national dress, plus five games and one goal for Denmark's U-21 national team.
