Irene Wennemo (* 1966 ) is a Swedish sociologist and author .

Education and professional activity

Wennemo holds a PhD in Sociology from Stockholm University . From 1988 to 1994 she worked at the Institute for Social Research there and from 1994 to 1996 as a political expert. In 1997 she started working for the Swedish trade union confederation LO , where she became head of the economic policy department, with a focus on educational policy from preschool to research.
