Irene of Greece (born May 11, 1942 in Cape Town ) is a former princess of Greece.

She was born as the third and youngest child of King Paul I of Greece (1901–1964) and his wife Friederike von Hannover (1917–1981), the only daughter of Duke Ernst August von Braunschweig-Lüneburg (1887–1953) and his wife Viktoria Luise of Prussia (1892–1980).

She was a student of the concert pianist Gina Bachauer and for a while she worked as a concert pianist herself.

Irene remained unmarried after her brother was removed from the throne and spent several years in India with her mother . Since the death of Queen Friederike in 1981, Princess Irene has lived in Madrid in the Zarzuela Palace with her sister, Queen Sophia of Spain . Her niece Infanta Christina named her daughter, who was born in 2005, after Irene.
