Irina Igorewna Antonenko ( Russian Ири́на И́горевна Анто́ненко ; born September 1, 1991 in Sverdlovsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian model and Miss Russia of the year 2010. In the Miss Universum election on August 23, 2010, she was among the last 15.

Life

Antonenko's parents Natalia and Igor Antonenko are both police officers. Antonenko attended school 156. After graduating from school, Antonenko took part in her first beauty pageant, but did not get one of the top places. She started studying economics at the Ural Finance and Law Institute . In addition to her studies, she worked on her modeling career. In 2009, she won the Miss Yekaterinburg local beauty pageant . 6 March 2010 Antonenko was in Moscow for Miss Russia crowned. Her predecessor Sofija Rudjewa presented her with the crown. In addition, she received a prize of US $ 100,000, a large part of which she donated to humanitarian causes, especially for sick children. In the following years she started a career in collaboration with the designer Philipp Plein , and took part in fashion shows by other designers.
