Irina Pabst
Irina Pabst (born December 2, 1928 in Berlin ; † May 1, 2004 there ) became known for her commitment to helping AIDS .
She was born in Berlin as the child of Russian emigrants . Her father was the White Guard Colonel Franz von Udinzeff, who fled the Russian Revolution.
After graduating from high school , she studied languages at Humboldt University and attended drama school. Under her stage name "Irina Garden" she starred in a number of German films between 1952 and 1956, her most famous film is The Trace Leads To Berlin . In 1955 she met Pierre Pabst , who later was head of the central editing department at Axel Springer Verlag .
In 2001 she was awarded the Berlin Bear (BZ Culture Prize) for her commitment .
