Irina Sergejewna Snopowa ( Russian Ирина Сергеевна Снопова , English Irina Snopova ; born June 7, 1995 in Volgograd ) is a Russian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Russian national team.

Career

Irina Snopowa ran for GK Astrachanotschka from 2012 . With Astrakhanochka, she won the Russian championship in 2016. In the summer of 2016, the backcourt player moved to league competitor GK Lada Tolyatti . After Snopova became the Russian runner-up in 2017 and 2018, she returned to Astrakhanotschka.

Snopowa took part in the 2012 U-18 Women's Handball World Championship . During the tournament she scored 18 goals and won the silver medal. Snopova is now a member of the Russian national team, for which she has played 6 internationals so far. At the European Championships in 2018 , where Snopowa was primarily used in defense, she won the silver medal.
