Irini Tsamadou Jacoberger

Irini Tsamadou Jacoberger , ex-wedlock : Irini Tsamadou ( Greek Ειρήνη Τσαμαδού ; * 1958 ) is a Greek-French linguist and neo- Graecist .

Tsamadou initially studying philology at the University of Athens in 1980 with the diploma completed. In 1984 she received her doctorate in linguistics at the University of Paris VII with a dissertation on the genitive in modern Greek . She then studied English and English linguistics at Yale and at the Charles V Institute in Paris . After working as a lecturer at the Institut national des langues et civilizations orientales (1984–1988) and as Maître de conférences at the University of Strasbourg (1988–1999), she received the Doctorat d'État ès Lettres et Sciences du langage at the University of Paris VII in 1995 with a script about the noun in modern Greek. She has been a professor since 1999 and, as the successor to Asterios Argyriou, director of the Département d'études néo-helléniques at the University of Strasbourg.

Research focuses on modern Greek linguistics (especially genitive , noun , modality ), the Greek language and its didactics as well as contact linguistics .
