Irmgard Bock

Irmgard Bock (born May 7, 1937 in Hamm ) is a German educationalist .

Life

Irmgard Bock grew up in Hamm in North Rhine-Westphalia and graduated from high school in Münster in 1956. She studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . There she received her doctorate in 1965 with a thesis on Heidegger's linguistic thinking. Her thesis “Communication and Education” was accepted as a habilitation thesis in the 1976/77 winter semester by the Department of Psychology and Education at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In 1978 she was appointed professor for the field of education at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Irmgard Bock lives and works in Munich.
