Irmgard Konzag

Irmgard Konzag , b. Irmgard Weber (born before 1970 in Holzweißig ; died after 1992) was a German sports scientist and university professor .

Life

Irmgard Konzag completed her doctoral thesis in 1970 at the University of Halle-Wittenberg on the subject of "Investigations into the extent of physical stress and the reactions of the cardiovascular system of top division players in basketball under competitive conditions". Her dissertation B  (topic: "Cognitive functions as components of information absorption and information processing in the psychological regulation of sporting play activities") was accepted in 1978 at the University of Halle-Wittenberg.

In collaboration with her husband Gerd Konzag , she published several sports textbooks , including " Exercise forms for sports games: a collection of exercises for basketball, football, handball, volleyball and preparatory games" (1975), "Playing basketball: the complete exercise system" (1991) , “Training by playing football: the complete training system” (1991) and “Training by playing volleyball: the complete training system” (1992). In 1983 she published the book “Basketball in der Schule” with Klaus Stöber .

In her academic work at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, she dealt, among other things, with the teaching of technology in sports games, performance checks in basketball, psychological and psychomotor components of technical-tactical skills and the long-term development of performance in football, taking cognitive performance requirements into account. Furthermore, she worked with her husband at the University of Halle-Wittenberg in the training of school teachers specializing in the sport of basketball.
