Irnfried Rabe (* 1943 in Sensburg ) is a German local politician ( FDP ) and was mayor of the southern Lower Saxony city ​​of Northeim from 2001 to 2006 .

Life

The lawyer Rabe worked between 1976 and 1980 as a municipal councilor and head of the legal office of Northeim. From November 1, 1980 to June 30, 1993 he was district director of the Northeim district . Since November 1, 1996, Rabe has held various positions in the Northeim city council, initially as an alderman and first deputy mayor. As the successor to Hans-Peter Voigt , he became full-time mayor of Northeim on November 1, 2001 for one legislative period. On November 1, 2006, Harald Kühle succeeded him in this office after a run-off election .
