Irsta HF
Irsta HF (HF = Handbollförening, German: handball club) was a Swedish handball club from Västerås .
Home venues of the club founded in Irsta ( Västerås kommun ) in 1965 were the Bombardier Arena, Irstahallen, Kristiansborgshallen and Fryxellska hallen.
The first women's team was Swedish champions in 1991. She played in the 2009/10 season in the second division, Division 1 norra . In 1993 and 1994 the club played in the European Cup Winners' Cup .
The first men's team also played in the top division, the Elitserien , where they once won championship silver. She played in Division 1, the third highest division for men, in 2009/10.
In 2011, Irsta HF merged with IVH Västerås , who have since been running together as VästeråsIrsta HF .
