Irvan Brar (born April 24, 1995 in Surrey ) is a Canadian volleyball player .

Career

Brar grew up as the son of Indian parents in Hong Kong before the family moved to British Columbia. He got into volleyball through his older brother Iman. He started his own career at Fraser Heights Secondary School in Surrey. In 2013 he went to study at the University of British Columbia and played on the Thunderbirds university team. In 2015, the outside attacker took part in the U21 World Cup in Mexico with the Canadian junior national team. He then moved up to the extended circle of the senior national team . In 2018 he won the national championship with the Thunderbirds and was elected to the All-Star Team. Then Brar moved to the German Bundesliga club SWD Powervolleys Düren . With the team he reached the semifinals in the DVV Cup and the quarterfinals in the Bundesliga playoffs . Then he left the club with an unknown destination.
