Isaac Chikwekwere Lamba

Isaac Chikwekwere Lamba (born November 10, 1945 in Mzuzila ) is a Malawian diplomat.

Life

He studied history at the University of Malawi and then worked there as a lecturer. In 1974 he received his PhD from the University of Edinburgh . After graduating, he was appointed deputy head of the Malawian Institute for Educational Research. From 1988 to 1991 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Culture. He was then ambassador to Paris , then ambassador and permanent representative to the UN in New York . He speaks English, French, Chichewa , Tumbuka , Yao , Shona and Bemba .
