Isaac of Jerusalem

Isaac ( Greek Hesychios ) was the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem (601–609).

A letter to Isaac has been received from Pope Gregory the Great , in which he exhorts the dispute between the Jerusalem Patriarchate and the Nea Church to end.

During the reign of Isaac, repression against Monophysites and Jews took place under the Byzantine emperor Phocas .
