Zacharias (Jerusalem)
Zacharias was Patriarch of Jerusalem (609–614 / 630). He is venerated as a saint in the Orthodox churches . Remembrance day is February 21 .
Zacharias was captured in 614 during the conquest of Jerusalem by the Sassanid ruler Chosrau II and probably freed in 628. According to the Palestinian-Georgian tradition, he died while still in captivity.
The year of his death is unclear, but 629/630 or 631 or 632 are mentioned.
