Isabel Marant

Isabel Marant (born April 12, 1967 in Boulogne-Billancourt , Hauts-de-Seine , France ) is a French fashion designer.

Life

Marant is the daughter of a French father and a German mother who initially worked as a mannequin and later as director of the modeling agency Elite Model Management . Isabel designed her first clothes when she was fifteen. From 1985 to 1987 she attended the Studio Berçot fashion school in Paris . In the following year she worked with Michel Klein and designed collections for the Yorke et Cole brand with Bridget Yorke . In 1989 she developed a jewelry brand under her own name and developed models for Claude Montana and Michel Perry .

From 1994 she named her previous brand Twen with her own Isabel Marant , which was shown for the first time in a Défilé next year . She set up her large studio in Paris in 1998, the year in which she opened her first boutiques in Paris. To date, she has built up her own lingerie brand and a brand for children's fashion. Her creations have a streetwear penchant , which is one of the comments on her style.

Marant is married to the fashion designer Jérôme Dreyfuss, with whom she has had a son since 2003.
