Isabell Zacharias (* 31 May 1965 in Husum , North Friesland ) is a German politician of the SPD . From 2008 to 2018 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Career

After attaining her secondary school leaving certificate, she completed an apprenticeship in rural housekeeping from 1982 to 1986, which she completed with the master's examination. In the evening course she caught up with the technical diploma . She then studied from 1987 to 1991 Nutritional Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg with a focus on food science, business administration and human resources, and graduated with a degree in nutrition scientist from.

After moving to the Bavarian capital of Munich, she became involved in 2001 as the chairwoman of the parents' council at a primary school in Munich. From 2003 to 2006 she was the chairwoman of the Parents' Advisory Board for primary and secondary schools in Munich (GEB). From August 2006 to December 2008 she was state chairwoman of the Bavarian Parents' Association eV She is also involved in the BildungsForum der Sozialdemokratie in Munich eV, since March 2007 as chairwoman of the board. From 2004 to 2012 she represented the Bavarian Parents' Association (BEV) in the Education Policy Forum in Bavaria. From 2006 she was the second spokeswoman for this association of around 40 organizations from the Bavarian education sector.

Within the SPD, she took over the office of auditor in the district association of Upper Bavaria in July 2007. She has also been a member of the executive board of the Munich SPD since July 2007, having previously been a member of the board. In the state elections in 2008 , she entered the Bavarian state parliament for the first time via a list in the constituency of Upper Bavaria . There she is deputy chairwoman of the committee for higher education, research and culture. In 2009 she was elected to the state executive committee of the Bavarian SPD . Isabell Zacharias has also been deputy chairwoman of the Munich SPD since 2009, and was confirmed in office in May 2011.

Zacharias is no longer a member of the newly elected state parliament in 2018.

Isabell Zacharias has three children (born 1993, 1996, 2011).
