The Isernhagen is a forest area in the district of Calvörde .

The Isernhagen lies between the market town of Calvörde and Velsdorf . To the south of the Isernhagen is the Strahlberg and the now desolate village called Isern. In the north is the Mittelland Canal , in the east Calvörde and in the west Velsdorf. There is a lake in the forest area.

Naming and assignment

The Isernhagen got its name from the now deserted village of Isern. This forest area belongs to the Calvörde forest .

In Isernhagen, the bells of today's St. George's Church in Calvörde were once cast from the old bells, the third church. A field mark in Isernhagen is still called Glockenkuhle today .
