Isidor Merry

Isidor Fröhlich (born December 23, 1852 in Pest , † January 24, 1931 ) was a Hungarian physicist .

Isidor Fröhlich studied at the Universities of Pest and Berlin . At the University of Budapest in 1876 he became a private lecturer , in 1879 he became an associate professor and in 1885 a full professor of theoretical physics. His work on optics from 1883 was awarded a prize. In 1891 he became a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences , in 1920 a member of the board. In 1905 he was appointed councilor .
