Isis-WICCE
Isis-WICCE , also Isis Women's International Cross-Cultural Exchange , is an international feminist organization that works in conflict and post-conflict regions. It is based in Kampala , Uganda .
history
The association was founded in 1984 by Marilee Karl and Jane Cottingham . Its predecessor organization was the Women's International Information and Communication Service . This served as a documentation center for women's rights and was founded in Geneva in 1974 . It has been based in Uganda since 1993 . The organization is named after the Egyptian goddess Isis .
