The Isla Brasilera (Portuguese name: Ilha Brasileira ) is a river island in South America.

The island is located in the area of ​​the confluence of the Río Uruguay and the Río Cuareim at the border triangle of the states Brazil , Uruguay and Argentina , north of the city of Bella Unión .

The island is the subject of unresolved border disputes between Uruguay and Brazil. From a Brazilian perspective, the island belongs to the municipality ( municipio ) Barra do Quaraí , the westernmost municipality of the state of Rio Grande do Sul . From a Uruguayan point of view, it belongs to the city of Bella Unión (Franquia district) in the Artigas Department , the northernmost administrative district of Uruguay.

The island is only inhabited by a Brazilian family of around eight who run a farm.
