The Isla Fondeadero ( Spanish for " anchorage -Insel"; in Argentina Islote Amarra , Spanish for " Mooring -Insel") is an island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the group of the Melchior Islands , it lies west of the Eta Island .
Chilean scientists named it in 1947.
