The Islamic Circle of North America ( ICNA ; Islamic Circle of North America ) is one of the major umbrella organizations of Islam in the United States and Canada . It must not be confused with the international Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the largest umbrella organization in the USA and Canada, from which it operates independently. The Islamic Circle of North America was founded in 1968 and has existed in its current form since 1977. It is headquartered in Queens , New York .

According to Seyyed Vali Reza Nasr , the son of the philosopher Hossein Nasr , the association is under the influence of Maududi and has a similar structure to the Jamaat-e-Islami founded by Maududi .

The long-standing leader and also Ameer of the ICNA was Khurshid Khan (1937-2019).

Other past presidents of the Islamic Circle of North America were Zahid Bukhari and Naeem Baig . The current president is Javaid Siddiqi .

The ICNA participated in an interreligious dialogue with the US Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs (Bishops' Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs ).
