Islamic renaissance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Islamic Renaissance is a monographic series of religious-Islamic writings published by the Press and Culture Department of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bonn . It has been published since 1980 and mainly contains works by Ali Schariati (1933–1977), who taught at the Hoseiniye -erschād in Tehran . In his speeches, Shariati had raised the path of the Shiite martyr "to the only way that leads to truth and justice" and urged his listeners to "kill (the tyrants) or die" if they could. Ten volumes had appeared by 1983.
