The Islote Almenado (from Spanish almenado , 'pinnacle-like, toothed' ) is a small island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . In the northeastern part of the Melchior Islands , it lies off the east coast of the Eta Island .
Argentine scientists named them descriptively in the course of an Antarctic expedition carried out from 1946 to 1947.
