The Islote Mar ( Spanish is) a small island off the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1.5 km northwest of Cierva Point before the entrance to Cierva Cove in Hughes Bay .
The name of the island was first recorded on a Chilean map from 1947. The further naming background has not been passed down.
