The Cierva Cove is a bay on the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 10 km southeast of Cape Sterneck in Hughes Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after 1960 after the Spanish aviation pioneer Juan de la Cierva (1895-1936), developer of the first gyroplane .
