The Islote Pampero ( Spanish ) is a small island off the north coast of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island .
Argentine scientists named them. The further naming background has not been passed down. A possible namesake is the Pampero , an often stormy southwest wind from the Argentine Andes , after which the Pampero Pass in Antarctica is named.
