The Islote Redondo ( Spanish for Round Island ) is a dark brown, completely snow-free island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located about 4 km north-northeast of Newell Point on Robert Island in Nelson Strait .
Chilean scientists gave it its descriptive name.
