Isolde Thormeyer

Isolde Thormeyer (* as Isolde Kröhling 1917 ; † unknown) was a German table tennis player and artist. She was German champion in doubles in 1948.

Life

Thormeyer played under her maiden name Kröhling in the Babelsberg district of Potsdam until 1946 . Around 1948 she belonged to the Grün-Weiß Berlin association. Her mother, * around 1885, was one of the best players in Berlin and in 1947 she won the Berlin mixed championship with Heinz Raack . Isolde married in 1947 and then appeared under the name Isolde Thormeyer . In 1948 she won the double competition with Erika Richter at both the Berlin Championships and the National German Championships in Göttingen.

She lived in Berlin-Steinstücke and worked professionally as an artist. Among other things, she designed posters and magazine covers.
