Israel Castillo (born August 17, 1968 ) is a former Mexican football player who played in defense and began working as a coach after his active career.

Life

Castillo began his professional career in 1985 at Club Universidad Nacional , for which he was under contract until 1992 and with which he won the Mexican championship in the 1990/91 season .

After stints at the UANL Tigres and the UAT Correcaminos , he joined Atlético Celaya , with whom he was runner-up in the 1995/96 season, but was only used once in the second half of the season.

His last position in the top division was Puebla FC and then he worked for a total of three years for the clubs CD Veracruz and Nacional Tijuana , which played in the second-class Primera División 'A' .

Trainer

In 2003 and 2004 he was head coach of the UAT Correcaminos for a year and a half , for which he had also worked as a player almost a decade earlier.

In 2006 he was hired by the Delfines de Coatzacoalcos .
