Guillermo Enio Burdisso (born April 24, 1988 in Altos de Chipión ) is an Argentine football player who plays for CA Independiente . His older brother Nicolás Burdisso was also a soccer player.
Club career
Burdisso started his professional career in 2009 at Rosario Central . After a year and a half he moved to Italy and played one season for AS Roma , where his older brother Nicolás also moved. The brothers were loaned out by the club. Nicolás Burdisso stayed in Rome while Guillermo returned to Argentina and was loaned to Arsenal de Sarandí . In the 2011/12 season Burdisso won the Argentine championship with his teammates.
After his first championship title, he moved to the traditional club Boca Juniors . So far, Burdisso has made 29 league games at Boca Juniors and scored three goals. On February 3, 2013, Burdisso was awarded to Galatasaray Istanbul . Galatasaray had a purchase option of three million euros for the central defender. Burdisso came to one use in the league and three games in the cup. At the end of the season, Galatasaray did not pull the purchase option for the defender.
National team
Burdisso made his debut for Argentina on January 27, 2010 in a friendly against Costa Rica. In the same game he also hit the goal. His second and so far last international match for the Albiceleste followed on November 17, 2010 against Brazil .
