Isse (mythology)

Isse ( ancient Greek Ἴσση ) is a person from Greek mythology . She is the daughter of Makareus and granddaughter of Aiolos . She is the mother of Prylis from Apollo , who visited her in the disguise of a shepherd . Both the names of the ancient city of Issa on Lesbos and the Croatian island of Vis, called Issa in ancient times, go back to them.
