Istana Negara Jalan Duta has been the royal palace and official residence of Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) in Malaysia since November 15, 2011 .
The palace was built on an area of approximately 100 hectares , about eight kilometers from the old royal palace in the capital Kuala Lumpur . It is named after the main street Jalan Duta (now Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim ) that borders on it .
