The Istanbul Arel Üniversitesi was founded on May 18, 2007 as a private nonprofit university by the Kemal Gözükara Education and Culture Foundation and recognized by the state. The language of instruction is predominantly English; there are bachelor, master and doctoral programs.

history

In 1990 Arel College Istanbul was founded. In the years that followed, the school permanently expanded the educational area with Arel Preschool, Arel Primary School, Arel Anatolian High School, Arel Science High School and Arel Sports and Culture Complex. After 26 years in the education sector, the institution sought to expand to include higher education.

With the help of the Kemal Gözükara Education and Culture Foundation, the Istanbul Arel University was established, which was officially recognized on May 18, 2007 in accordance with Law No. 2809/5656 Appendix.76 of May 9, 2007, published in the Official Gazette No. 26526 has been. Istanbul Arel University has 2 campuses and a sports and cultural complex.

Özgür Gözükara (son of the founder) has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Arel University since 2018. He is supported by Hilmi Ibar in building an international network. In December 2018, agreements were successfully concluded with DHBW Lörrach to set up student and professor exchanges as well as joint training projects.
