Kemal Gözükara

Kemal Gözükara (* 1928 in the village of Eldelek in the Elbistan district in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaraş ) is a mathematics teacher and entrepreneur as well as the founder and president of the Istanbul Arel Universitesi .

Live and act

Kemal Gözükara was born in Eldelek in 1928 and attended the Düziçi Teaching School in Adana . He then graduated from the scientific department of Gazi Universitesi . After graduating from university, he worked for five years as a mathematics teacher at the Mükremin-Halil-Gymnasium in Elbistan . He then did his military service and then became a teacher at the İzzet-Ünver-Gymnasium in Bahçelievler , Istanbul.

In 1974, Gözükara decided to quit teaching and go into business. With financial support from his father, he successfully built up an export company for leather clothing over the course of four years. He then got into the construction business and founded Arel Construction Industry and Trade Inc.

With the Kemal Gözükara Education and Culture Foundation , he created the financial conditions for the establishment of the Istanbul Arel Üniversitesi , which has been officially recognized since 2007. He works closely with Enver Duran and Hilmi Ibar as well as the network of Balkan universities .

The son Özgür Gözükara (* 1976) is chairman of the board of trustees of Arel University.
