István Muskatal

István Muskatal (born April 23, 1986 in Gyöngyös , Hungary ) is a Hungarian biathlete who mainly starts in summer biathlon .

Muskatal, based in Gyöngyössolymos , has been running biathlon since 2003 and has been a member of the Hungarian selection since 2004. He starts for Honvéd Zalka Gyöngyös. For the first time Muskatal took part as a junior in the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2003 in Forni Avoltri. István Muskatal had his first participation in the senior sector in 2008 in Haute Maurienne.

Although he mainly competes in cross in summer, Muskatal also took part in the Biathlon World Cup on snow. His best placement was 95th in the sprint in Lahti in the 2006/2007 season . In addition, István Muskatal, together with Imre Tagscherer , Karoly Gombos and Balasz Gond , was part of the first Hungarian men's biathlon relay for 11 years, which started in Östersund in 2009 .
