Itonos (son of Amphictyon)
Itonos ( Greek Ἴτωνος Ítōnos ), son of Amphictyon and consort of Melanippe , is a figure in Greek mythology .
He was a Thessalian king and namesake of the city of Iton. Itonos invented the art of ore casting and founded the temple of Athena Itonia. Besides Boiotos , Chromia and Iodama are also named as his children .
