Longipenis is a genus of small Chinese butterflies in the family Lecithoceridae with three species. The genus was described together with the species Longipenis deltidius by Chunsheng Wu from the Institute of Zoology of Academia Sinica , Beijing in 1994. Until the description of two new species in 2010, the genus was considered monotypical .

features

The wing veins R 3 , R 4 and R 5 of the forewing are petiolate, R 5 extends to the apex . The vein M 2 is very close to M 3 , CuA 1 and CuA 2 are basal 1/3 stalked. The hind wings are a quarter to a third wider than the fore wings. Rs and M 1 are stalked up to 2/5, M 3 and CuA 1 are short stalked or free.

distribution

The species of the genus can be found in the Chinese provinces of Fujian and Guangdong and in the Guangxi Autonomous Region .
