The Itschenpitte is a canalised watercourse in the Magdeburg district of Fermersleben .

The small watercourse is to the east of Fermersleben. The terrain level of the place is well above the Elbe, which runs a little further to the east . The Itschenpitte cuts deep into the surrounding terrain sloping towards the Elbe. The stream flows north and then north-east and flows into the brawn after about 200 meters .

The part of the name Itsche is a regional dialect expression for " frog " and could thus be an indication of an originally increased occurrence of frogs in the vicinity of the watercourse.

The Itschenpitte was cleaned and expanded in the mid-1920s as part of the construction of a sewer system . The expansion of the sewer system by the city of Magdeburg took place in the context of the fulfillment of commitments from the incorporation of Fermersleben in 1910.
