Itzan Escamilla

Itzan Escamilla Guerrero (born October 31, 1998 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actor . He is best known for his role as Samuel García in the Netflix series Elite .

Career

Escamilla studied interpretation at the Escuela de Cristina Rota in Madrid.

In 2016, Víctor Ros played the protagonist's stepson, Joan , in the Spanish television series . It was his first major role on television that made him famous in his country. He also appeared in individual episodes of Spanish series such as Centro Médico , Seis hermanas and El final del camino . In 2017 he also had a small appearance in the historical fiction series El Ministerio del Tiempo , as Simón Bolívar .

He also played the young Francisco in the Netflix series Die Telefonistinnen in 2017 . Since 2018, Escamilla has played the role of Samuel García in the Netflix series Élite , a teenager who receives a scholarship to an Elite school because his school collapses.

In 2018, together with the actresses Malena Alterio and Belén Cuesta , he conquered the audience in the play Los universos paralelos by the North American playwright David Lindsay-Abaire .
