Iuschenschen

Iuschenschen was an ancient Egyptian city in the fifth Upper Egyptian district . The place is mentioned in a few texts. On a stele, which probably comes from Naqada , the cemetery of Qus , it is reported that the local priest chief Djefi sent his official Chenmes to Iushenschen, who found the city destroyed and rebuilt it. In a Ramessid list of places, Iushens is listed as south of Qus. Iuschenschen may therefore be identical with the modern Chozam, where pharaonic monuments were found, especially from the First Intermediate Period .
