Ivan Bartoš (born March 20, 1980 in Jablonec nad Nisou ) is a Czech politician and chairman of Česká pirátská strana (Piráti), the Czech pirate party and a member of the House of Representatives of the Czech Republic since the election in 2017 .

Life

Bartoš has lived in Prague since 1999 , where he completed his computer science studies at the Institute for Library and Information Systems at Charles University in Prague in 2005 with a doctorate. phil. completed. He ran in May 2014 as the top candidate on the party list in the European elections . But the party did not get the required number of votes. Two weeks after the election, he resigned from his position as party chairman. His deputy Jana Michailidu replaced him on an interim basis . Since 2016 he has been party chairman again.

Since the House of Representatives election in 2017 , he has been one of 22 members of the Pirate Party in the House of Representatives .
